Apply to any stained areas, then let it sit for about 5 minutes. Gently scrub the stain with a soft-bristled brush, then hit the rest of the carpet. Clean with a damp cloth and then let the interior dry completely. This will mean that you need to leave the car open for a few hours, so you’ll need to remember to check on it every once in a while.

- Don’t have a regular carpet cleaner? Try glass cleaner. It won’t leave any kind of sticky residue and you can use a bunch. Pour it on, let it soak for about 5 minutes, then use a paper towel and dab at the stain until it pulls away.
- Food or throw-up stains? You’ll need something that can neutralize the acidity of that. You can use just a simple club soda to handle this. You’ll need to pick up as much of the gunk as possible before treating, then pour the club soda on and use a cloth to clean it up. Repeat as needed until the stain is gone.
