The Scout RX2 dutifully performs its task of cleaning every inch with the utmost care. With its side brushes, it cleans along walls and in corners with ease. As soon as the Scout RX2 encounters an obstacle, the side brushes retract.

Camera-based, three-dimensional room detection

Two front cameras give the Scout RX2 high-precision, three-dimensional object recognition. It measures the distances to potential obstructions automatically and navigates safely around them. This prevents furniture and objects from being damaged. Even complex room structures are not a problem with the Scout’s 3D Smart Navigation.

3D Smart Navigation

The Scout RX2 can even see its surroundings in 3D. The development of Smart Navigation allows the robot vacuum cleaner to use high-precision, three-dimensional room detection by means of a stereo camera system. The robot can use this to anticipate the distance from potential obstructions and to navigate safely around furniture and other objects. Even when the layout of the room is complex, the Scout RX2 moves along undeterred and cleans thoroughly.

Furniture Protection

The two front cameras on the Scout RX2 allow the distances to obstacles in the path of the unit to be calculated continuously. Together with Furniture Protection Technology, consisting of 7 infrared sensors in the front of the unit, this allows obstacles to be recognized and negotiated. Three further infrared sensors under the unit reliably prevent the unit from falling down stairs.

You can get it done with MobileControl. Whether you’re at home or on the go – with the smartphone or tablet app1 just tell your robot vacuum cleaner what you want it to clean and when. The “Miele Scout RX2” app1 offers convenient operating functions for you to get this done.

Status display

The welcome screen gives you all the key information at a glance, e.g., which mode the Scout RX2 is currently in and when it will begin the next cleaning operation. With just two clicks you can select a cleaning mode and start the robot vacuum cleaner straight away.

Timer

The timer function can be used to program the start time of cleaning. Up to 7 individual timers can be set, allowing cleaning to start at different times every day of the week.

Home Mapping

The Scout RX2 navigates systematically through the rooms and generates a map of the area being cleaned. You can therefore track where the Scout RX2 is at any given time and find out which areas have already been cleaned.

Home Vision

With the Home Vision function, you can check that everything is in order at home at any time. Using the front cameras, you can also monitor the activities of the robot vacuum cleaner in real time. The camera image is sent via live tracking to your mobile device securely and in encrypted form.
